Welcome to Global Goodness!
Make Some Noise is our brand new charity that helps disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. These youngsters may be affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity.
We want every child and teenager to reach their full potential. So, we use the power of radio to MAKE SOME NOISE for those who struggle to be heard. This allows us to award grants to specially selected projects across the country that are changing young lives. These are projects close to the hearts of our listeners and the communities they live in.
Every year we unite our friends in the music and entertainment business and our listeners to MAKE SOME NOISE – to raise money and quite simply, change young lives.

40 Years of Helping Young Lives
Make Some Noise is the newest chapter in Global’s long history of uniting its listeners and clients to help improve the lives of children and young people.
For almost 40 years we've been raising money through Help a Capital Child, Have a Heart and the Classic FM Foundation. In that time we have raised £35 million and helped 3 million children and their families.
Now we’re delighted to be uniting all our stations and listeners behind Make Some Noise to raise even more money for those who need it most.
Make Some Noise is just one of the initiatives we run to help disadvantaged youngsters. The Big Music Project and Music Potential are also part of the Global family.
Capital XTRA's Music Potential engages 16-24 year olds, who are not in education, employment or training, through a range of music related educational activities, work experience and mentoring using the hook of urban music.

The Big Music Project
The Big Music Project is a unique £4 million initiative funded by the Big Lottery Fund. Global Radio’s Capital FM and the BPI have joined forces with youth work charity UK Youth to help young people from every corner of the UK get closer to their dream career.

The Global Academy UTC
At Global, we believe in training the next generation of young talent to work in the creative industries. That's why we're launching the Global Academy University Technology College.
Working in partnership with the University of the Arts London, our new college will provide a full education for 14-18 year olds studying GCSEs, A-Levels, BTEC's. The Global Academy UTC will aslo provide specialist vocational training modules leading to specific qualifications in creative, technical and digital media as well as entrepreneurship. The curriculum will have a strong focus on the technical skills needed to get a job in today's digital broadcast industry.
The Global Academy UTC will be a state school, funded by the Department for Education. It will be built on a site in Hayes in West London and will open in September 2016.
