Who We Help
Last year we gave out gave out 722 grants with a combined total value of £2,039,619. It is estimated that over 168,000 children, young people and disadvantaged adults have benefited from grants awarded to various groups across the Charity’s network of operations.
Here are just some of them...
"The respite and palliative care nurses are at the very core of the service we provide. These ‘angels' as described by one parent, offer parents total piece of mind, keeping a close eye on their life limited/threatened child, while parents take a much needed break. Being located in East London means they are able to cater to the needs of some of the most deprived boroughs in London including Tower Hamlets and Newham.
We are so very grateful for the support from 95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child, their grant of £2,543 is towards a four-weekly session where a nurse can care for around 13 young people.
95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child have been a loyal supporter of Richard House since 2000, helping in all aspects of our needs from the construction of Richard House to providing much needed equipment and helping with various projects including our befriending programme and our physiotherapist."

"Being able to work jointly with Southern FM's Help a Local Child has been of enormous benefit to my charity, the Myasthenia Gravis Association.
As a small charity with a very low profile, being associated with HALC helps us to raise our awareness levels far beyond what we would reasonably expect to be able to achieve. In turn this enables us to attract far higher participant levels for our events, making them very much more successful and raising significant sums of money to fund our vital work."
