Volunteer For Us

Global Charities employs a small number of permanent staff to run the day-today operations of the Charity with a central office in London and Regional Charity Managers in each area.  However the Charity relies heavily on the support of un-paid volunteers to provide administrative support and help with appeals and events.

Last year, Global Charities volunteers gave a total of 5,281 hours of their time for free.   This contribution is not only invaluable to the Charity but also extremely rewarding for the individuals who support us.

“It’s a unique experience to be a volunteer for Help a London Child.  You can be involved in many different ways from coordinating an abseil, to helping out in the office where there is always masses to do, to collecting money and handing out toys and food at Christmas.  I’ve been volunteering since 1998 and have made some great friends and been able to see the money raised converted to joy and happiness for so many of the projects Help a London Child funds.  It’s humbling and inspiring to know that the hours I have spared to volunteer my time has made this possible.”
