The Real Network
Real Radio - Radio's big regional network.
The Real Radio Network broadcasts on analogue in 11 of the UK’s biggest cities, including 2 capitals.
Targeting an audience of 25-44 year olds, the Real Radio Network plays a feel-good music mix from the 90s, noughties and now. Programmes and features such as Real Club Classics and High School Days really connect with our listeners.
The unique blend of great music, down to earth sense of humour, upbeat conversation, strong local focus and showbiz gossip fits in with and compliments our listeners’ lifestyles and daily routines. The core values shared by the stations, the presenters and the audience are Family, Fun Entertainment, Enthusiasm and Community.
In March 2009, the Century stations in the North East and North West became Real Radio, creating a strengthened and unified quasi-national network. In December 2008 it was announced that Real Radio had won the analogue license for North and Mid Wales, further reinforcing Real’s position as radio’s BIG regional network.
The Real Radio Network reaches over 2.2 million listeners (RAJAR Q1 10) every week across five stations - Real Radio Scotland (100-101fm), Real Radio North East (100-102fm), Real Radio Yorkshire (106-108fm), Real Radio North West (105.4fm) and Real Radio Wales (105-106fm), plus out of area listening via Digital Radio, Sky and online at realradio.co.uk
