Capital Network (UK) has done it again with the 7 million listener mark, adding 344,000 new listeners to move to a brand new high of 7.72 million UK listeners each week. Hours climb by a whopping 3 million to 44.6million per week, pushing our market share up from 4.0 to 4.3 in Q3 13.
Capital London is the number 1 commercial station for reach this quarter with 2,170,000 listeners tuning in for 288,000 more hours bringing the hours to 10,105,000.
Capital Manchester is number 1 commercial station, with a reach of 545,000 listeners. The Rob Ellis Show reaches 297,000 listeners at breakfast and is number 1 commercial breakfast show. Sally Hudson's show has climbed by 36,000 listeners to beat Radio 1 for drive.
Capital Yorkshire achieve their highest ever reach for the second consecutive book. 24,000 new listeners this quarter move us to 1.19 million listeners per week. Hirsty's Daily Dose is up again this quarter with 712,000 listeners tuning in while Adam is still going strong with 543,000 listeners.
Capital Birmingham continues to reach half a million listeners – breaking the half a million barrier for the second quarter in a row. Dan & Katy break quarter of a million listeners on breakfast at 257,000. Sacha adds 20,000 at Drive, now at 253,000.
Capital Scotland lands it's highest ever reach, moving up 56,000 to 579,000. Hours are up 496,000 to 3,654,000, moving share up from 6.5 to 7.3. Clyde has dropped back in reach this quarter. Des & Jennie have gained 42,000 listeners this quarter, reaching 326,000, while Garry Spence has seen 39,000 more listeners tuning in to drive giving him a reach of 284,000
Capital North East remains the clear commercial number 1 across the North East with 477,000 listeners every week and 615,000 more hours, bringing the total to 3,460,000. At Breakfast Bodg, Matt & JoJo post 264,000 listeners, making them the number 1 commercial breakfast show.
Capital East Midlands retain Commercial Number One position again and over all Number 2 beating Radio 1 by an increased lead of 24,000 listeners. Dino & Pete at Breakfast grows year on year by 27,000, while Emma Caldwell has increased her reach this quarter by 31,000 listeners to 253,000 making her show the number 1 drivetime show.
Capital South Wales add 37,000 listeners moving to 244,000 per week. The station adds over 382,000 hours, a 23% increase moving share forward from 6.4 to 8.2. Breakfast with Matt, Polly and Geraint has seen an increase of 31,000 to 149,000 making it the number 1 breakfast show in the commercial market. Leigh Jones has seen listeners tuning in for 52,000 hours more, making the drivetime total 252,000 hours.
