Capital FM RAJAR Headlines

Capital, the UK’s largest commercial radio brand, records 7.5 million weekly listeners across the UK.

Capital Network (UK) has done it again with the 7 million listener mark, with 7.5 million listeners across the UK.

Capital London is the number 1 commercial station for reach this quarter with 2,156,000 listeners tuning in for 77,000 more hours bringing the hours to 10,182,000 quarter on quarter.

Capital Manchester is number 1 commercial station, with a reach of 626,000 listeners adding 81,000 listeners each week. What's more hours have climbed by 327,000, giving Capital Manchester over 3.7 million in total quarter on quarter. The Rob Ellis Show reaches 347,000 listeners at breakfast and is number 1 commercial breakfast show, with an increase of 50,000 listeners and 394,000 hours quarter on quarter.

Capital Yorkshire is still the top commercial station in Yorkshire reaching 1.1 million listeners each week. Hirsty's Daily Dose is up by 20,000 hours giving a total of 1.9 million hours. Adam's drivetime show proves to be strong as the number 1 commercial show with 507,000 listeners tuning in each week.

Capital Birmingham gains 84,000 listeners year on year, bringing their total weekly reach to 481,000. The station also adds 101,000 listeners this quarter, giving a total of 2.8 million. Dan & Katy add 53,000 listeners year on year, while their hours grow stronger with 59,000 more hours this quarter. Sacha adds 69,000 listeners year on year, giving her 242,000 in total and making her the number 1 commercial drivetime show in Birmingham.

Capital Scotland has gained 84,000 listeners (year on year) giving a total of 552,000 listeners, with hours also up by 837,000, giving the station 3,659,000 hours total. Des & Jennie have gained listeners this quarter, reaching 336,000 and 760,000 hours.

Capital North East remains the commercial number 1 across the North East with 455,000 listeners every week and 3.3 million hours.

Capital East Midlands retain Commercial Number One position again and over all Number 2 beating Radio 1 with 478,000 listeners. Drivetime increases its reach to 240,000 listeners and hours to 542,000 in total year on year.

Capital South Wales add 45,000 hours, giving them a total of 1.3 million hours year on year. Leigh Jones also sees an increase in hours during drivetime, bringing his total to 178,000 year on year.

Capital South Coast sees an increase of 38,000 listeners year on year, giving it a total of 231,000, while hours have also gone up by 333,000, giving a total of 1.6 million. Gillies and Emily's show sees an increase of 37,000 listeners year on year, bringing the total to 141,000, and the hours also going up by 98,000 for a total of 405,000 hours.
