Heart
Heart, the UK's biggest commercial radio brand.
First launched in the West Midlands in 1994, Heart arrived in London in 1995 and the East Midlands in 2005.
The Heart sound has become the most popular in commercial radio and on 4th September, the Heart Network will consist of 18 stations across the UK, reaching more than 7.3 million* people every week.
With 'More Music Variety' Heart plays the best variety of music with witty banter and celebrity guests. In London, 798, 000 listeners* start their day with a bit of Jamie and Harriet in the morning - jam-packed and star-studded, only the A-listers make it onto the show. But Jamie and Harriet aren't alone. Each of our Heart stations across the UK has its own local breakfast show of the highest standard.
Local breakfast and drive, coupled with national programming from Leicester Square at other times of day, including Saturdays with Emma Bunton, means Global Radio offers the national brand of Heart, delivered both nationally and locally - the best of both worlds.
Have a Heart Campaign
The first Have a Heart Appeal raised over £300,000 as listeners, presenters and celebrity supporters all got involved to help raise funds for seriously ill children. The Have a Heart Appeal took place all week from 15-19th March, culminating in a fundraising extravaganza. Throughout the day a whole host of stars including JLS, Alesha Dixon, Alexandra Burke, Sugababes and Toni Braxton popped by and donated auction lots and co-presented shows. Pixie Lott, Lemar and Sharleen Spiteri all performed exclusive live sets for the special day. Heart’s star line-up of presenters including Emma Bunton, Jason Donovan, Toby Anstis and Jamie Theakston all hosted shows.
Heart’s Love Music Live
Heart’s Love Music Live with Barclaycard Unwind kicked off in October 2009 with Michael Bublé. The Canadian star performed a special and very intimate show for a few lucky competition winners in the heart of London. Since its launch Heart winner have been enchanted by Spandau Ballet, Seal and Sharleen Spiteri, while James Blunt set a world record for the highest gig ever in a plane!
