Ellie Goulding's stellar debut single 'Starry Eyed' stormed straight in at number 4 in the official singles chart, a fantastic position for any new artist.

Her album 'Lights' is out this week and has received glowing reviews in most music publications and blogs, including; NME, The Telegraph, Drowned in Sound and The Guardian  

Ellie was also awarded this years BRIT's Critics' Choice Award ! The previous winners of this accolade include Florence And The Machine and Adele who are now both household names and whose debut albums were critically acclaimed.  22 year-old Ellie received  her prize at this years' Brit Awards.

Alicia Keys' 'Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down' went to number 5 in the official singles chart. Her album ‘The Element of Freedom’ was at number 1 in the official Albums Chart.
