Alan Pownall

Alan Pownall is a highly original singer/songwriter, who has been described - amongst other things - as a British Jack Johnson.

After finishing school Alan moved to Italy to study art. However, he soon realised that another muse was calling and he left art school to pursue a career in music. His outstanding talent soon led to him being snapped up by management company ATC, who also manage Radiohead and Kate Nash. Shortly after he signed a publishing deal with Global Talent & Publishing and began work on new material in earnest.

Alan leads a private and withdrawn life, shunning publicity. However, his music speaks for himself and it didn't take long before soul songstress Adele came across his music on myspace and personally invited him to support her on her UK tour. Despite continued A&R interest from several UK labels, Alan  signed to Mercury Records and has been  writing and recording new material with producer Elliot James and also Ian Broudie.

Alan's eagerly anticipated 'Chasing Time' EP is released on April 5th through Mercury Records and his album 'True Love Stories' will be released on July 12th.
