Lawson have made a huge impact since hitting the top five with their debut single ‘When She Was Mine’ last May, following it up with three more chart smashes – top three UK single ‘Taking Over Me,’ radio smash ‘Standing In The Dark’ which is the bands biggest selling UK single to date and the anthemic crossover record Learn To Love, firmly establishing themselves as one of the brightest new pop bands to launch in recent years.

With all the songs penned by the band themselves, drawing on real life relationships, experience and challenges, their debut album, ‘Chapman Square,’ (produced by Grammy winner John Shanks,) also hit the top five on release in November 2012 and the band have been steadily building up a large and dedicated following.

A formidable live presence, frontman Andy Brown, guitarist Joel Peat, drummer Adam Pitts and bass player Ryan Fletcher have gone from playing to three people in pub backrooms, to selling out four headline tours and opening for artists such as Jessie J, Will Young and Avril Lavigne. They packed out their stage at V Festival, made appearances at the Summertime and Jingle Bell Ball, and have taken their set worldwide this year with their Everywhere We Go Tour which kicked off in the US in August and saw them tour the whole of the UK and Ireland in September and October.

Their single Juliet was released on October 13th and was the sixth song taken off of their certified gold album Chapman Square.

The Wanted

The Wanted came out of the blocks in 2010 with their Number 1 smash UK Single ‘All Time Low’ which defined a new pop sound that’s grown to hit status all around the world. Their self titled top 5 debut album has since gone double platinum in the UK alone and the boys have gone on to international success, with hit single after hit single.

In February 2011, the boys released ‘Gold Forever’ as the official Comic Relief single, racking up another hit for the group, debuting at no. 3.

Their second album followed in November 2011 and once again went top 5, establishing the band as one of the most successful pop acts in the UK today.

With huge sold out arena tours and an army of fans, the time was right to reach out to the US. And they did it in style.

The Wanted’s worldwide smash ‘Glad You Came’ became their debut US single in 2012, selling over 3 million copies and reaching number 1 on the US airplay chart, top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the American Top 40 chart - the first vocal group to take the year end number 1 spot since Boyz ll Men in 1992.

The Wanted are now counted amongst the biggest pop acts in the world; scooping awards like the ‘Favourite Breakout Act’ at the People’s Choice Awards in LA and even bagging their very own TV show...The Wanted Life!

The band have filmed in the US for a show which was all about, as Scooter Braun - the man behind Justin Beiber put it, the 'craziness and the making of the new album, from LA to the UK'. The Wanted Life debuted on the E! Network in the US on 2nd June, and was closely followed by it's UK premiere on 24th June at 9pm. Check out the mischief they got up to – get a sneak peak here.

More recently, the guys have partnered with the legend that is Dr Luke on their single Walks Like Rihanna, which was officially released in the UK on 23rd June and is a pure pop summer anthem. The video was shot in LA and takes a tongue in cheek look at what being in a boy band is all about, in the undeniable style of The Wanted!

Their single release 'We own the Night' was the anthem of the summer of 2013.

The Wanted have a whole host of performances coming up across the globe, they performed at our very own Summertime Ball, we hasten to add! A full list of tour dates can be found here.

The Wanted's album Word of Mouth was released in November.

2014 will see the boys embark on their first ever world tour.
