This includes sweepers, station IDs and jingles for each of the shows on the station as well as promo trails for the various shows, the contests and any promo trails that involve sponsors. Production involves script writing, organisation of the voices and putting the audio together.

Placements in Global Radio regional newsrooms can also be arranged, please state your preferred location.

Programming

Programming structure what is on the station, when it’s played and how it sounds. It encompasses everything from the music that makes up the playlist to the promotion and content presented on air. We work closely with the on air presenters and news team, ensuring that the station is constantly focussed on its target market. The station devises the right things to talk about with the best promotions and giveaways to maximise the listening figures.

Commercial Programming

Commercial Programming forms the link between our advertising sales teams and the radio station programming teams.  The primary job is to interpret client briefs and create client-led promotions, sponsorship, competitions & events - basically everything beyond spot advertising.

The varied & fast-moving nature of the role could see you dreaming up competition ideas, working on client-led events, writing presenter scripts and sponsor credits, briefing programming teams, and lots more...if you're good at juggling, you'll fit right in!

Radio Sales

The Commercial team is responsible for generating revenue through media agencies and clients via both spot airtime and beyond the spot opportunities. The primary job is to sell radio against other media, pitch creative ideas and up-sell our stations to maximise revenue.

If you fancy working in a fun, lively environment and are effective at relationship building and customer service then Commercial could be for you. We look for people with a range of skills including creativity, self-motivation, negotiation and a natural flair for sales!

We operate charities across 5 of our radio brands including:

  • Heart’s Have a Heart (in 33 locations across the country)
  • Classic FM’s Music Makers
